The First Dogs Series
"I started to create the series wanting to focus on one single material. I realized there were quite a few people who do not understand me as an artist because my work is spread out on many topics and materials, and I wanted to be more understandable and accessible.
I chose dogs because it is the animal I love the most, and because it is a very diverse animal. There are many types, races, shapes and colors . At first, I created a dog made of bicycle chains and rack, that my bicycle repair man gave me. After this work I fell in-love with the material - on one hand it was made of iron, a material I really love and I also see it as a versatile and flexible material, delicate, and it opens endless possibilities which I continue to find until today."
